Tucson, April 23rd: Gallery Tour with Rebecca Senf & Film Screening of “Kandahar Journals”

1:00 PM – Gallery Tour with Chief Curator Rebecca Senf
“Rebecca (Becky) Senf, chief curator of the Center for Creative Photography, will give a tour of The Lives of Pictures: Forty Years of Collecting at the Center for Creative Photography, currently on view in the CCP galleries. She will give her personal take on the show, sharing the stories of some of her favorite artworks and giving attendees a behind-the-scenes look at how the exhibition was conceived and produced.”

2:00 PM – Film Screening of Louie Palu’s “Kandahar Journals”
Louie Palu, award-winning documentary photographer and filmmaker, will be in attendance for the screening of his new film, “Kandahar Journals,” which addresses the impossibility of conveying the reality of war through photographs.
