“The 2014 Grant for Outstanding Personal Photography Project is open for submissions for photographers self-publishing on fotovisura.com. New members are welcome to submit.

The Grant aims to support personal photography projects and encourage the production and development of photography outside of the commercial realm. The Grant recognizes photographers as judged by their images, story, dedication and commitment of the photographer to the story or concept. Additionally, we consider the extent that he or she is willing to go to bring about positive change in society.

It is our belief that this profession needs to recognize its emerging leaders—and the FotoVisura Grant stands for recognizing, celebrating and supporting the international community of emerging photographers and its leaders.

The Grant is divided into two categories:

  • The FotoVisura Grant for Outstanding Personal Project
  • The Spotlight Grant for Outstanding Student Project

The Grant aims to recognize photographers as judged by their images, the story, the dedication and commitment of the photographer to the story, and the extent that he or she is willing to go to bring about positive change in society.

Requirements
The FotoVisura Grant awards photographers publishing on the fotovisura.com platform, new members are welcome to submit. The grant is eligible for ongoing projects not initiated by an assignment or commission. To be eligible for the Student Grant you must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program, or a recent graduate, having graduated after January 1st 2012. Additionally, the following requirements apply for both the Grant and the Student Grant:

  • Submit a photography series, up to 35 images
  • Series must be ongoing or photographed within the past 12 months
  • Image size: minimum 1000px on the longest dimension (14 inches @ 72 dpi)
  • A written reflection, in first person, of at least 150 words
  • All images and text to be uploaded through the FotoVisura.com website
  • To enter you must read and agree to the contest Terms & Conditions
  • Only one Submission per photographer
  • You may enter either published or unpublished bodies of work
  • Projects may be submitted privately via your FV-Profile (more info)”

Submission Guidelines
The FotoVisura Grant aims to support personal photography projects that are not initiated by an assignment or commission. To be eligible for the Student Grant you must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program, or a recent graduate, having graduated after January 1st 2011. Additionally, the following requirements apply for both the Grant and the Student Grant:

• Submit a photography series, up to 35 images.
• Image size: minimum 1000px on the longest dimension (14 inches @ 72 dpi)
A written reflection, in first person, of at least 150 words
• All images and text to be uploaded through the FotoVisura.com website
• To enter you must read and agree to the contest Terms & Conditions
Only one Submission per photographer will be judged.

Entry Fee
Entry to the competition is free for current members of FotoVisura.com with a Standard or Plus account. Your Account must be active through June 15, 2013.

The fee for annual membership is:
$30 for a Standard Account
$60 for a Plus Account.”
