“FRESH 2013 is the annual summer show produced and presented by the eponymous Klompching Gallery. FRESH 2013 continues its crossover from the “wall” to the “page” to the “internet,” reflecting the three ways in which photography is displayed, published and disseminated. It’s also gone global and is inviting submissions from photographers worldwide.
The curators are looking for the very best examples of new contemporary fine art photography. Submission of single bodies of work with a consistent vision, originality—work that is FRESH. The selected work is showcased across three key platforms:
The Wall: Three to five photographers will be selected for a four-week exhibition at Klompching Gallery.
The Page: The exhibited photographers will be published in a feature in BLINK magazine.
The Internet: The exhibited photographers will be interviewed in a special feature on at Length online.
Darren Ching is the owner of the Klompching Gallery in New York City and Creative Director of PDN.
Open to all photographers worldwide. One submission per photographer. 6–10 photographs from one body of work. Completed online Submission Form.
- Three to five photographers will be selected for a four-week (July 17–August 10, 2013) exhibition at Klompching Gallery, NYC.
- Exhibited photographers will be published in a feature in BLINK magazine.
- Exhibited photographers will be interviewed in a special feature on At Length online.
- Ten additional photographers will be selected for Klompching Gallery’s “FRESH ONLINE SHOWCASE.”
Submission Guidelines
- 6–10 photographs from one body of work.
- Image files must be RGB jpegs, 72dpi, 1000 pixel maximum height/width.
- Files to be named as: Surname_Initial_#.jpeg
Example: smith_J_01.jpeg, smith_J_02.jpeg, smith_J_03.jpeg… - Artist statement: maximum 150 words.
- Completed online Submission Form.
- Complete the online payment of $40 USD.

“FRESH is the annual summer show produced and presented by the eponymous Klompching Gallery. This year, FRESH is partnering with two innovative media enterprises: Blink magazine and Flak Photo.
In 2012, FRESH will crossover from the wall to the page to the internet, reflecting the three ways in which photography is displayed, published and disseminated. It’s also gone global and is inviting submissions from photographers worldwide.
Eligibility: Open to all photographers worldwide, at least 18 years of age.

What FRESH is looking for:
Submissions of single bodies of work that demonstrate a consistent vision, originality, excellence in craftsmanship and a strong viewpoint. We are looking for the very best examples of new contemporary fine art photography.
Awards
- The Wall: Three to five photographers will be selected for a four-week exhibition, affording each artist an extraordinary opportunity to show their work at the Klompching Gallery—one of New York City’s highly regarded galleries for contemporary fine art photography.
- The Page: The exhibited photographers will be published in a four-page feature in BLINK magazine—the acclaimed “go-to” magazine for contemporary photography.
- The Internet: The exhibited photographers will be featured on Flak Photo (Flak Photo Stories)—the popular social media site promoting visual culture.
- Additionally: Ten highly commended photographers will be showcased on the Klompching Gallery website and all submissions will be considered for the Gallery Print Room.”
