“In his presentation, “Landscape and Memory“, Binh Danh will show work from his community-inspired installations and discuss his photographic processes with an emphasis on his daguerrotype printing and work with indigenous botanicals. Danh is currently collaborating with Louisiana Master gardeners, creating new work in preparation for an installation at the Arsenal during PhotoNOLA 2018.

This event is co-hosted by LSM and PhotoNOLA.

Binh Danh, Assistant Professor of Photography at Arizona State University, has emerged as an artist of national importance with work that investigates his Vietnamese heritage and our collective memory of war, both in Viet Nam and Cambodia. He is also the inventor of the chlorophyll printing process, in which photographic images appear embedded in leaves through the action of photosynthesis.”

This lecture is presented by INFOCUS.
