Getting Started

If you are interested in scheduling an initial appointment with Ms. Swanson, either for an in-person or telephone consultation:

• You are strongly encouraged to read the “FAQ’s for Photographers” which have been compiled directly from questions asked by clients when first considering working with Ms. Swanson; this will help you plan for your first meeting.

• Fees for services:  A two-hour minimum initial consultation session is required with all first-time clients.  Fees for this initial consult is $300 per hour (2 x $300/hour $600 total for initial consultation session).  Payment is expected at the conclusion of each session. Note: After the initial consultation period is completed, the rate per hour drops to $250/hour or any portion there of, prorated; clients may schedule additional time as needed for as little as fifteen minutes.

• Check the MVS on the Road calendar to know what cities she will be visiting in the near future, and which events she is participating in are open to the public. On many trips she has set time aside to see photographers privately who wish to consult with her. If consultation appointments are available during that trip, they will be indicated on this calendar. If all appointments are filled, that too will be noted. You will typically be able to schedule a telephone consultation sooner than an in-person consultation; plan ahead if wishing to meet in person in cities other than Tucson – consultation appointments fill quickly.)

• On select trips she will make arrangements with the host organization to offer discounted one-hour consultations ($200/hour) for members attending her presentations. If this offer is being made with an event details will be listed in conjunction with it at MVS on the Road.

• When you have determined where and/or when you would like to work with Ms. Swanson, please fill out and submit your Client Fact Sheet.

Once your form has been received, you will be contacted with possible dates and times for your consultation. Appointments are assigned in the order requests are received with priority given to existing clients and those who have attended a workshop with Ms. Swanson.

Once a date for your session has been confirmed, a verification email will be sent to you from Ms. Swanson with the details of your consultation and advice on how to make the most of your session.
