Who Buys Prints? An Update on the Marketplace for Fine Prints

Today, challenges to the traditional artist/dealer relationship are impacted by changes in consumer interests and purchasing habits, and the rise of new sales venues for acquiring art. In addition to sales through galleries, purchases occur at art fairs and via online sales venues, through third-parties such as art consultants & interior designers as well as acquiring works directly from artists. The centuries-old art market is ripe for new models.

Confirmed industry panelists are as follows: PEGGY SUE AMISON, Creative Director, East West, Dubai UAE | DARREN CHING, co-owner, KlompChing Gallery, NYC | NATASHA EGAN Executive Director, MoCP, Chicago | private collector JOAN MORGENSTERN, Houston | Liana Schwaitzberg,  Corporate Art Advisor, MKG Art Management, Houston | and LISA VOLPE, Associate Curator, MFA Houston.

Join us for the seminar between Review Sessions 1 & 2, at the Whitehall Houston Hotel.
