MVS On the Road

To learn from MVS, attend one of her public appearances listed below, or attend one of her upcoming workshops. If you are considering meeting privately with MVS, know that she frequently adds a day or two to the agenda of her personal appearances around the country to work with photographers (priority given to existing clients).

New in 2019: When I am at my home office in Tucson, consultation availability for new and existing clients will be Wednesday & Thursdays, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM MST. Existing clients will also have consultation availability Monday, Tuesday, Friday at 4:00-6:00 PM MST.

“MoP Portfolio Reviews are an unparalleled opportunity for registered artists to spend dedicated time with 30 influential professionals in the local and national photography community.

Gallery owners, museum curators, editors, publishers, and collectors from Colorado and all over the US will gather in Denver to review work. Whether you’re seeking exposure for a finished portfolio or feedback on a body of work in progress, MoP reviews can help you advance your practice and career. In previous years, numerous photographers have left with opportunities to exhibit, publish, and sell their work.

Reviewers
View the list of confirmed Reviewers for MoP 2019. The review appointments will be selected by a lottery system before the event and based on your list of your preferences. Reviewer preference forms will be emailed in February to participants who have registered for the event. We will email you your appointment list one week before the event.”

  • Her annual NESOP Cross Currents event Friday, April 12th
    (open to NESOP Students, Alumni and Griffin Museum Members)
  • As well as other weekend presentations for current Griffin Museum Members and Atelier participants on April 13 & 14.

PHOTOBOOK FAIR at Blue Sky Gallery

MVS will be participating in the Photobook Fair for Publish Your Photography Book with Princeton Architentural Press.  Many other fantastic publishers and artists will be present during the fair. This event is free and open to the public.

“Photolucida’s second-ever publisher’s Photobook Fair is all about celebrating the photobook! Join 12 small-press publishers – Radius Books, Candela Books, Keher Verlag, Zatara Press, Dark Springs Press, One Twelve, Ain’t-Bad, Fall Line Press, Fraction Editions, Kris Graves Projects, Daylight Books, Princeton Architectural Press – who will be set up with collectible, hot-off-the-press, and hard-to-find-elsewhere publications to view or purchase. Participating publishers will have books to be signed by artists in attendance: Dotan Saguy, RJ Kern, Vladimir Antaki, Ken Rosenthal, Molly McCall, Will Douglas, Alexis Pike, Stephen Milner, Clay Maxwell Jordan, Cody Bratt, Kris Graves, Aline Smithson, Maha Al-Asaker, Hilary Duffy, Emily Matyas, Soraya Zaman, Jeanine Micha-Bales, and Mary Virginia Swanson.

Pearl District galleries exhibiting photography will stay open this evening for a GALLERY WALK to welcome Photolucida participants and the general public! Galleries include Froelick Gallery, Augen Gallery and PDX Contemporary Art.
